Goat Cheese.

We made goat cheese for the first time! We added salt, chives, and onion powder. It turned out good. So exciting to try something new and it actually turn out!

Yes, the cheese with chives in it kind of looks like chocolate chip cookie dough.

Life is so busy!!

Life has been so busy this month and will continue to be throughout June. From my sisters-in-laws ( 4 of them) dance recital to ones graduation to O.B. appointments to my baby shower, it's getting busy. There's something every weekend pretty much up until my due date(July 4th). And now I'm going weekly to the doctor. It's just crazy. Add in the decluttering/spring cleaning/getting ready for baby and life is downright chaotic.

I don't like craziness and being busy. I like to be home all week. I like to keep my son on a consistent schedule but lately, there has been no daily schedule.

And I really wanted to squeeze in a beach trip before little girl is born but that's not going to happen. Hopefully in August after she comes and everything's gotten back into a routine.

Last Week's Frugal Accomplishments.

Not too much going on around here. Just gearing up for the new baby, which includes cleaning and decluttering. We have too much stuff! I'm slowly weeding it out.

I received my first free copy of Better Homes and Gardens magazine that I won a subscription too. I passed it along to my grandmother to read after I was finished looking at it.

I received other freebies including vitamins and a free Tei Pei frozen entree and Carique product.

Ate all leftovers. No food waste!!! Love it! Throwing food away is like taking money and putting it in the trash can.

I've been cleaning/decluttering the house endlessly. Not necessarily frugal but it sure does reduce the stress level.

For Mother's Day we purchased a Kitchenaid stand mixer. Not the most frugal thing in the world but they last forever and I'm starting to make homemade bread and things. I had been wanting one forever. They had a deal where if you bought it you could send it a rebate and get the pasta attachment for free. That itself is worth 150$ so I think it was worth it.

Frugal Things.

Last week was much better than the week before, which is always a good thing.

I received a free organic cotton onesie in the mail.

I received a coupon for a free bottle of International Delight coffee creamer. It doesn't expire until 2014 so I will hang onto it until this fall/winter and use it in hot chocolate.

Loaded two free food items onto my Kroger plus card. (yogurt and a nutrition bar)

Was able to use coupons on top of a sale to stock up on my favorite shampoo for less than 1$ a bottle.

Did all of my errands/visiting on one day and while we were out used a free meal coupon
from Chik-Fil-A for lunch instead of hitting the dollar menu at McDonald's. (had to go visit my friends sweet precious baby while I was out!)

Cut the grocery bill budget so I worked on a menu plan and did an inventory of the pantry.

In other news:

Our weather has finally caught on as to what month we are in! It's been in the high 70's and tomorrow is supposed to be 87.I'm going to get my tomato plants into their planters. My strawberry plant is covered in flowers!

Frugal Things.

Last week I didn't get too many frugal things accomplished but my closest friend had her baby girl! So I've been spending all my extra time visiting and snuggling!! It makes me excited for the last nine weeks of my pregnancy because I know I'll be snuggling my own baby girl soon.

I did fill in a work two days so that will bring in some extra money along with the money we got from selling our baby goat. It made me a little sad to see him go, though. Now if we could just sell the pigs.

I received a few samples in the mail and earned another swagbucks gift card.

We're still getting about a quart of milk a day from our momma goat. Now if my chickens would just start laying eggs I would be set.

I bought our tomato plants for the year since I'm hoping the cold weather has gone for good.

My frugal flop was letting my free paint coupon from Lowes expire :(
